Xcom FPS delayed again

by on23 May 2012

Enemy Unknown strategy title on track

The release of Take-Two’s financials has shed some light on the fate of the release of the Xcom titles. The Xcom FPS title that still does not have an official name has been delayed once again and had its release window pushed pretty far out.

Latest word is that we will not see it till sometime between April 1st 2013 and March 31st 2014. No reason was given as to why the date was pushed out yet again, but originally the title was due to be released yet in this fiscal year.

As for the traditional strategy-based Xcom title known as Xcom: Enemy Unknown, the title is still on track and will be released in October. Early looks at the game have been positive, but it is difficult to say what to expect till we see more of it.

One other thing of note is that in the Take-Two financial report, Grand Theft Auto 5 is listed as “TBA” (To Be Announced), which could be a sign that we might see the title sooner than later; it is still anyone’s guess at this point, as no one is talking.
