Konami Digital says it will arrive in early 2010

One of the Xbox Live Arcade games that we had the most fun with when it was released was the 3D Ultra MiniGolf title. Developer Wanako, which is a studio of Artificial Mind and Movement Inc., has been trying to put a deal together to get the sequel released. After the first expansion to the original 3D Ultra MiniGolf title, things have been silent for some time while eager fans await the studio to put a new deal together.

The deal has been done, and Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that the sequel, which will be called 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures 2, will be arriving early this year for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms for download. The game will again be developed by Wanako and is said to feature many new innovations from the first release.

3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures 2 will offer new graphics and a trickier course; and if that isn’t enough, the Map Editor tool will allow customization of courses. When the game arrives it will feature 50 holes in a variety of locations, including the Winter Wonderland, Manic Museum and the Haunter Manor. Perhaps the best feature might be the Xbox 360 Avatar support, which will allow players to play the game with their own customized Avatar; and judging from past titles that offer Avatar support, this feature alone could make this a very popular title.

While we don’t have any exact information to offer on the specific release date or pricing, our sources tell is that it will likely go for 1,200 Microsoft Points or $15 when released and we should look for it to arrive before the middle of May at the latest.
