Four new SKUs and some with Ryzen AI
AMD has unveiled its Ryzen 8000G APU lineup at CES 2024, announcing four new SKUs based on 4nm Hawk Point and Phoenix 2 architecture and featuring Zen 4 CPU and RDNA 3 GPUs. All four SKUs, including the Ryzen 7 8700G, Ryzen 5 8600G, Ryzen 5 8500G, and the Ryzen 3 8300G, will be available on January 31st.

In addition to the new Ryzen 8000G series lineup and the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB graphics card, AMD has unveiled a couple of new AM4 desktop processors, including the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 7 5700, and a couple of Ryzen 5000GT series APUs.

14th Gen Meteor Lake is no match
While most of the tech press is waxing lyrical about Chipzilla’s mighty onboard Meteor Lake graphics, it is starting to look like Intel is going to be stuffed into its locker by AMD’s Ryzen 7040 Phoenix APUs.

Shipping in December and starting at $399
Valve has now officially announced its handheld console, called the Steam Deck. Based on a custom AMD APU with Zen 2 CPU and RDNA 2 GPU, the Steam Deck should pack enough punch to run games on a 7-inch screen when it launches in December 2021, with a starting price of $399.
