The new Minisforum V3 SE is powered by the Ryzen 7735U "Rembrandt R" APU, a 28W processor based on AMD’s Zen 3+ architecture, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory. Offering solid multi-core performance, the V3 SE is comparable to the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V "Lunar Lake" processor. However, the device lacks discrete graphics, relying solely on the integrated Radeon 680M iGPU for graphic-intensive tasks. It features a 1TB M.2 SSD in a 2280 slot for storage. The previously available Minisforum V3 tablet came with a more powerful AMD Rynze 7 8840U, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, but also a higher price tag of $999.99.
While the display specs may seem adequate on paper, its 1080p resolution on a 14-inch touchscreen might feel outdated by 2024 standards. The V3 SE supports a detachable keyboard, which is included with the system. Connectivity options include dual USB4 ports, a USB-C port with DisplayPort (DP) support, an SD card slot (UHS-II), and a 3.5mm audio jack. At a slim 9.8mm and weighing just under 1kg (2.05 lbs), the V3 SE is both lightweight and portable. It also features a 50.82Wh battery that charges via a 65W adapter and a 5MP front-facing camera with Windows Hello support.
