At the IFA 2015 show in Berlin, Toshiba unveiled a rather interesting 12.5-inch convertible notebook with a 4K/UHD 3840x2160 screen, the Toshiba Satellite Radius 12.

Designed around a 12.5-inch 3840x2160 IPS touch-screen display, protected by Gorilla Glass NBT, and swinging on a 360 degree hinge, the Satellite Radius 12 is quite a stunning device. The display is certified by Technicolor and can reproduce 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut, which makes it quite interesting for those looking for precise picture color. Toshiba will also offer a Full HD 1920x1080 option for those that do not need a 4K/UHD display.

The aforementioned 360 degree hinge will allow the Radius 12 to be used in five different mode and Toshiba also integrated Harman Kardon speakers inside that small 12.5-inch chassis. While we do not have precise dimensions, Toshiba did note that the Radius 12 is 15mm (0.6-inch) thick and weighs just 1.3kg (2.9lbs).

While it did not reveal any specific details, Toshiba did note that the Radius 12 will be equipped with Intel's 6th generation Core Skylake CPUs, with up to Core i7 with HD Graphics 520 IGP, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of M.2 SSD for storage.

The Toshiba Satellite Radius will actually be the first notebook to be equipped with a Windows Hello capable webcam, have a quick-access Cortana button, support for Windows Continuum and touchpad with gestures, making it a neat Windows 10 OS system.

The rest of the specification include Intel dual-ban 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.1 Type-C port and have a battery that should keep it alive for around 8 hours.

Unfortunately, Toshiba did not reveal any details regarding the price but did announced that the Radius 12 will be available in Q4 2015, so we will surely keep an eye on it.
