by on13 December 2012

More memory, storage and battery for US $299

Acer has announced a new, slightly more expensive version of its recently introduced 11.6-inch C7 Chromebook. Featuring double the amount of memory, larger HDD and bigger battery, the new Chromebook also add another US $100 bill to the price.

Model C710-2605 as, Acer calls it, still features the same Intel Celeron 847 CPU clocked at 1.1GHz, but it comes with 4GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD storage and a beefier 5,000mAh battery. The rest of the specs are the same so in case you missed it, you are looking at an 11.6-inch 1366x768 screen, 1.3-megapixel camera and HDMI, all packed in a one-inch thick package.

Additional storage space, 2GB of RAM and a beefier battery is apparently worth another Benjamin, putting the new price at US $299.
