No sooner that they have gotten onto the shelves, RIM is recalling some of its Blackberry tablets. Apparently more than 1,000 PlayBook tablets were shipped with a faulty build of the operating system, which could have prevented users from performing the initial setup of the device.
Most of the PlayBooks which shipped with the bug are still in the distribution channel and have not reached punters. Apparently most of the faulty batch was shipped to office supply chain Staples.
Still it does not bode well for RIM which was hoping to turn around its fortunes with the launch of the PlayBook tablet.
