Arrandale at 2GHz

Intel has already announced the new Arrandale-based Celeron P4500 clocked at 1.86GHz, a value mobile processor. In Q4 2010 it will announce a faster version of this CPU and simply call it P4600.

The new P4600 has two cores and Intel HD graphics, but it's limited to two threads, not four as some of the more expensive Arrandale CPUs. The clock speed is set to 2.0GHz and the CPU doesn’t support Intel's Turbo Boost overclocking technology.

The graphics works at 500MHz but it can overclock to 667MHz if necessary. The memory of choice is DDR3 1066MHz and thermal maximum of the CPU is 90 degrees, some 15 degrees less than usual. The CPU has 2MB of cache and a TDP of 35W.

At this time the Fujitsu Lifebook A530 is the only notebook to have this CPU listed, but even this model is not available. Still, you can take a look at the spec and pre-order it here.
