If you cheat, they are going to find you

I don’t know how many times users have to get banned before they come to grips with the concept that if you cheat, they will find you at some point and you will likely get banned. We have to think that 320,000 Warcraft III and Diablo II players didn’t get the memo, as 320,000 players were banned.

According to the word handed down from the ban-hammer on high at Blizzard, accounts that were banned were found to be violating the Battle.net terms of use. From what we have been able to gather, if this was a first offense the CD-Key associated with the account will be banned for 30 days, while those that are repeat offenders will be banned permanently. From what we have been able to uncover, apparently there is no appeal process and all ban decisions are final.

Blizzard has not gotten too much into explaining their decisions on who received a ban and who did not, how these decisions were reached or even what exactly the player did to get banned. The bottom line is that if you cheated, they caught you and now you are paying the price. We have said it before and we will say it again, just don’t cheat… it isn’t worth it.
