Advocates new organ donor legislation

Apple CEO
Steve Jobs voiced his support for California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's plans to pass new organ donor legislation.

During an event introducing a new organ donor registry, Jobs told the crowd that he almost died waiting for his transplant in 2009. The charismatic CEO underwent a liver transplant in early 2009 and went on a lengthy medical leave, promoting months of speculation about his health and future at Apple.

"I was fortunate. Last year, 400 other Californians died waiting. I could have died," said Jobs. "I was almost one of the ones who died waiting for a liver."

Jobs said he is now feeling fine and that he's had "a pretty good last few months."
