Elon Musk hates staff working from home

If they are at home they cannot not notice me

Elon [look at me] Musk has revealed that he does not like his employees to work from home.

Apparently, Musk wants anyone who he has not fired from Twitter back in the office in a week, presumably so they can notice him and benefit from basking in his glory.

Twitter told its employees they would "never" have to come back to the office if they so choose. However, Musk has a long history of opposing work from home.
In June 2020, an internal memo to Tesla staff urged employees to return to the office for a 40-hour work week, or “pretend to work somewhere else”, despite the world being gripped by the pandemic.

While Musk’s management views might have sat well among the cigar-chewing capitalists of the 19th century, they are less likely to be popular with tech talent in the 21st century.

Talented workers are continuing to favour jobs that allow remote working and Big Tech is being forced to adapt.

A global survey by Linkedin found that flexibility was the third most important priority for all job candidates, after compensation and balance. It might be that those who don’t want to work for a Great Twit might take their talent elsewhere leaving Twitter with very few exceptional staff.
