Googlebooks coming in Q2

Chipmaker
Freescale has announced that it will launch a CPU for Android powered netbooks sometime in Q2.

Freescale expects the netbook market in 2009 will double to about 30 million units sold. The outfit has launched its own netbook platform in January, and it claims vendors will be able to design sub-$200 netbooks using its chips, and expects its netbooks will eventually cost about $100 to build, so you can expect the list price to be well under $200 once they hit retail.

Although it's focusing its efforts on western markets, the company is also in talks with Indian Encore Software which wants to supply millions of cheap netbooks to the Indian government as part of an education programme.
