Trump was clearly upset that a Google search on his name had not produced all the good stories about him and were full of the sorts of praise he has come to expect, as Fudzilla reported yesterday.  After all he is pretty sure that the is the best President ever, who is loved by his people and the world for the way he has single handly turned around his country by giving lots of tax cuts to the very wealthy.

Google denied any political bias, saying in a statement that its search engine is “not used to set a political agenda and we don’t bias our results toward any political ideology”.

However Trump's tweets, even if they are based on his perception of the facts rather than hard evidence, are law to his staff.  

Trump’s economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, later told reporters that the White House was “taking a look” at Google, saying the administration would do “some investigation and some analysis” without providing further details.  While that sounds to us like they have formed a team, they are probably hoping that Trump will have forgotten all about it before it actually has to do any serious work.

Neither Trump nor the White House detailed how or under what legal justification they would use to probe Google. They have not explained how much this investigation will cost either.
