Lufthansa says no to Note 7

by on18 October 2016

Hey, you, get it off of our frights

German airline Lufthansa is forbidding people from carrying Galaxy Note 7s on all of its flights, in a bid to prevent accidents happening on board.

The move is not totally unexpected. Lufthansa had already banned people from travelling to the United States while in possession of Note 7s.

The ability of Note 7s to fume forced Samsung to withdraw the Note 7 completely, following a series of fiascos that show it’s not entirely on the ball on the battery front.

Lufthansa has confirmed the ban to Reuters, after a German radio station MDR Aktuell reported the ban earlier on today.

The flaming fiasco has proved to be very expensive for Samsung, not only because of the cost of refunds to customers and to suppliers, but because of the very real damage to its reputation.
