LG Display has just unveiled what it claims is the first LCD panel for monitors in the world that using Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology.

This 23.8” LCD panel that will enable users to stream wirelessly both their laptop and desktop content to their TVs and monitors, all in a far more hassle-free manner. The success of this new Intel WiDi enabled LCD panel is thanks to the fact that the WiDi is incorporated into a key chipset straight into the LCD module.

LG Display thinks this will pave the way for users to enjoy quality images in an easy and convenient manner without the need for extra devices. It will also give OEMs and monitor manufacturers a way to adopt such advanced technology without having to fork out a fortune.

The 23.8” Intel WiDi solution-enabled LCD panel from LG Displays will make its bow at the upcoming 2013 Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco later this week. No world on cost yet, but we expect to hear from LG at the Forum.
