AMD has lost another high-profile executive. The company announced that Chief Financial Officer Thomas Seifert is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

A source close to Reuters claims that Seifert is looking for a permanent CEO position and with his credentials he shouldn’t have much trouble finding one.

Analysts see Seifert’s departure as a source of concern because he has more experience with AMD than other top execs.

News of Seifert’s departure sent AMD shares down almost 12 percent late Monday.
