We mentioned the lack of macro keys on this keyboard. When talking about gaming keyboards, macro keys are a must, so Razer decided to have a compact design and let the software deal with macros. The software included with the keyboard lets you remap and record macros for every key on the keyboard. The software is highly intuitive and we had no problems in setting up any type of the profile.



We used Lycosa for gaming and usual office work for the past month and the keyboard is just great. We didn't have any doubts about its performance, as Razer stands for high performance peripherals, and that goes without saying. The wrist rest is very useful for those long typing or playing scenarios, but the layout is something that you'll have to get used to, just as with every other keyboard.

The rubber non-slip keys do feel a little weird, but then again, when you get used to them, you find yourself thinking how you could live without them.

The Razer Lycosa is a hardcore gaming keyboard and there is no question about it. The only real drawback is its price. The lowest price in Europe is €69.11, which is more than some people are willing to pay for a keyboard. But then again, if you are a hardcore gamer, you will know how to appreciate the response time, quality and performance that Razer's keyboard offers.

To conclude, Razer has once again shown that they live and breathe by their slogan: "For gamers, by gamers," but the price might be a little steep. We recommend this keyboard to any hard-core gamer with deep enough pockets.
