AMD's aging AM4 platform is set to receive a couple of new updates, including the Ryzen 5 5600XT and Ryzen 5 5600T CPUs.

The AMD AM4 platform is over seven years old, and AMD has not only kept a steady supply of chips but is also launching a couple of new SKUs. According to @momomo_us over at Twitter, the Ryzen 5 5600T and Ryzen 5 5600XT have already been added to X570 and B550 motherboard support.

Both the Ryzen 5 5600XT and the Ryzen 5 5600T are 6-core/12-thread SKUs with 32MB of L3 cache. The Ryzen 5 5600XT should come with a higher base clock of 3.8GHz and both could end up with the same 65W TDP.

It is still unclear when AMD will officially launch these new AM4 SKUs, but since motherboard makers have already added support, they should not be far away.
