In case you missed it earlier, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D could be the most interesting SKU as it is the only one of the three SKUs that does not come with the so-called asymmetric chiplet design but rather packs a single CCD with 8-cores/16-threads, 104 MB of total cache with 3D V-Cache slapped on top if it. It works at 5.0/4.2GHz clock and packs 104MB of cache, all at $449, which could be yet another reason why it could be AMD's bestseller and even put some pressure on AMD's own lineup, let alone Intel's counterparts.
Performance-wise, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D gives out impressive performance putting it ahead of both the Intel Core i9-13900K and AMD's own Ryzen 9 7950X3D, at least in games. When it comes to applications, the Intel Core i9-13900K still leads the pack, closely followed by AMD's own Ryzen 9 7950X and the Ryzen 9 7950X3D.
What is more impressive, is that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D provides exceptional gaming performance while drawing an average of 50W, which is in line with CPUs like the Ryzen 5 7600 or the Core i5-12600.
With the price of just $449, and AMD recently introducing the A620 chipset motherboards, we could have a rather affordable gaming beast.
