According to the stock supply details leaked by a user on Reddit, Intel's 8th generation Coffee Lake CPUs desktop CPUs could be available on October 5th.

Intel will launch two 6-core/12-thread models, including the flagship Core i7-8700K and the Core i7-8700, which will also feature 6-core and 12-threads.

In addition to those 6-core SKUs with Hyper-Threading, Intel will also launch two Core i5 parts without Hyper-Threading, the Core i5-8600K and the Core i5-8400. The bottom part of the lineup will include three Core i3 parts, all without Hyper-Threading, the Core i3-8350K, Core i3-8300 and the Core i3-8100.

In case you missed it earlier, these CPUs will need a new Z370 motherboard, despite being based on the same LGA1151 socket.

On a similar note, Intel is discontinuing some of its Skylake SKUs, including the the Core i7-6700K and the Core i5-6600K, as well as the Core i5-6402P and the Core i3-6098P. According to details from Computerbase.de, these CPUs can be ordered until March 2018 with delivery finalizing by September 2018. Retailers/e-tailers will probably start to get rid of the stock so hopefully, the price of these SKUs will drop when Coffee Lake launches next month.
