2.93GHz clock

Gigabyte has decided to release some details about Intel's upcoming Core i7 875K unlocked CPU and we can now give you the full specification.

The CPU will work at 2.93GHz, the same clock as Core i7 870, and the rest of the specification will be almost identical to Core i7 870. The only difference is that Core i7 875K will be completely unlocked in both FSB and multiplier and it will be easier to overclock.

Both CPUs are based on Lynnfield 45nm Nehalem derived quad-core in B1 stepping. Gigabyte claims that GA-P55-UD5 (rev. 1.0) board with F6 bios is ready for Core i7 875K, the CPU that is supposed to appear in the first days of June.
