Depends on the SKU

Once Intel launches its first 32nm CPU with 45nm graphics inside, codenamed Clarkdale 32nm, it will position it as a competitor to its Pentium dual-core E5x00 series, while some faster SKUs will compete with Core 2 Duo E7x00 series. We are talking about essential, value roadmap positioning, while some Clarkdale CPUs will be fast enough to compete with the fastest dual core E8600 series.

Clarkdale should launch in Q1 2010 and the cheapest one will show its face in Intel's Value V3 category. It should be selling for as little as $84, if you buy a thousand of them. This one is meant to replace E5400 CPUs clocked at 2.7GHz with 2MB cache based on Wolfdale 45nm core.

The faster iteration of Clarkdale will sell as part of Intel essential E1 roadmap and it should compete with Core 2 Duo E7400 and sell for roughly $113 at launch. The fastest one in this category will compete with Core 2 Duo E7500 clocked at 2.93GHz, based on Wolfdale and featuring 3MB of cache.

The fastest Clarkdale should sell for $133 at launch in Q1 2010.
