Chenbro, a Taiwanese company that has been a key player in the rackmount server market, has announced its new 1U dual-socket Xeon 4-bay HPC barebones server based on Intel's C624 platform.

Based on Intel's S2600WFTR server C624-platform motherboard, the new RB1384 barebone supports Intel's LGA3647 2nd generation Cascade Lake SP Xeon CPUs with maximum 165W per socket. It has 24 memory slots with support for up to 7.5TB of DDR4-2933 UDIMM ECC memory.

More importantly, the Chenbro RB13804 shines when it comes to storage support, and although it is a 1U rackmount, it supports up to four hot-swappable 3.5-inch drives, two 2.5-inch drives, as well as an optional mounting for a slim optical drive.

The entire system is powered by 800W CRPS 80 Plus Platinum PSU, and you also get two FHHL PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, and one I/O module.

The new RB1384 HPC barebone also did not skimp on networking capability so you get two 10 GbE Base-T Ethernet ports, one Ethernet management port, an integrated RAID module for high-level storage deployment, as well as three USB 3.0 Type-A ports.

The 1U rackmount RB13804 HPC barebone kit uses a tool-less top cover for easier maintenance and upgrade, and weighs a hefty 11.6kg.

The Chenbro RB13804 is available immediately from HQ and its branches and is also available for branding customization with personalized silkscreens, logo plates, and tailor-made bezels to create a Data Center Rackmount in the customer's brand image.
