The latest leak confirms that this Snapdragon 845 phone supports Quick Charge 4.0+. Qualcomm hadn’t had a lot of success with its Quick Charge 4.0 + and big phone OEMs as the current list has BQ, Nubia Smartisan and Razer. Xiaomi will by far be the most prominent supporter of fast charging.
The Quick Charge 4.0 + was out with the Snapdragon 835 last year but it looks like that it is only getting attractive to phones that will sell in million(s) volume, phones such as Xiaomi Mi8.
Quick Charge 4.0 + supports 5V/3A, 9V/3A. 11V/2.4A, to 12V/2.25 and can result in three degrees lower temperature while charging up to 15 percent faster and up to 30 percent more efficient.
Fast charging is a very popular feature as, at the end of the day, you want to be able to charge the phone as soon as possible to be able to continue using it but some companies like Vivo or OnePlus made a lot of marketing and devised their own "standards". So this is one big win for the quick charge standard
