Confirmed for second half of 2011
RIM is now confirming what we sort of already knew. Both an LTE and 3G model with HSPA+ support are on the slate to arrive in the second half of 2011. RIM is banking that 4G support will help vault the PlayBook ahead of its competitors due to the rich web experience that is even better with 4G support.

The news pretty much confirms what we already knew. The one missing bit of information that RIM did not confirm is exactly which carriers in the U.S. would be getting these LTE and HSPA+ enabled PlayBooks.

It does not take much to guess that the LTE model will be coming to Verizon and the HSPA+ model will be headed to AT&T, which confirms what our sources have been telling us.
