Blackberry users suffer outage

Major disruption in service in North America
Oh no! Blackberry users are again being faced with major withdrawal as a service disruption has caused Blackberry devices in North America to stop working, according to AT&T. The problem, according to AT&T, is not with the telephone network, but instead with the RIM network that handles the wireless data transmissions.
According to an AT&T the problem does not affect the ability of the Blackberry to make calls; it just affects the ability of the device to receive or send anything that has to do with the data services on the unit.
RIM is describing the problem as a Blackberry infrastructure outage and they are working very hard to resolve the issues and restore service. No estimate was given as to the time frame for restoration of service. Blackberry subscribers total more than 12 million subscribers.
