With the launch of Intel's newest Haswell-E HEDT platform, which includes Haswell-E CPUs and the new Intel X99 Express chipset with support for DDR4 memory, G.Skill has officially announced its latest Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits which will be available in capacities of up to 64GB, frequency of up to 3200 and CL15 latency.
The G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 lineup starts where the DDR3 memory has stopped, at 2133MHz. The Ripjaws 4 series will be available in 2133MHz, 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2800MHz, 3000MHz, and 3200MHz as well as capacities of 16GB (4GBx4), 32GB (8GBx4/4GBx8) and 64GB (8GBx8). The DDR4 kits will use 1.2V and 1.35V voltage and feature 15-15-15-35 or 16-16-16-36 latencies, depending on the frequency.
In order to differentiate the Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits from the rest of its lineup, G.Skill decided to design a completely new heatspreader, which will be available in red, blue and black colors. These new heatspreaders will still have the same 40mm height as previous Ripjaws series so these modules will be compatible with most CPU heatsinks.
Unfortunately, G.Skill did not reveal any info regarding availability or the price of the new Ripjaws 4 series DDR4 memory kits.
