More cache and impressive warranty

Patriot has revealed its latest SSD which will be available in 128 and 256GB capacities, the TorqX M28. This one has twice the amount of cache when compared to the older TorqX and features an impressive 10 year warranty.

Unlike the previous TorqX which had 64MB of cache, the new M28 doubles that and features a 128MB cache buffer. The rest of the features include a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, a MTBF of over 1 million hours and also comes bundled with a 3.5-inch adapter bracket.

The new TorqX M28 has read and write speeds of up to 220MB/s and 200MB/s which is a 20MB/ boost in write speeds and a 40MB/s drop in read speeds when compared to the previous TorqX.

The new TorqX M28 solid state drive should be available soon and we are quite impressed with a 10-year warranty period, as this is the first one we saw. OCZ has recently bumped the warranty period from two to three years, and we might see another bump from all other manufacturers pretty soon.
