Memory working at 2GHz

Zotac has announced two Geforce 9600GT cards. The first one has a slight overclock on the GPU and AMP! version, which goes all the way to 725MHz for the core.

The interesting thing is that both of these cards will be cooled by reference design single-slot cooling. Both cards also feature a 256-bit memory interface and 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The memory clock for the normal version is left at reference 1800MHz, while the memory on the AMP! version works at 2,000MHz. Of course, both versions have 64 stream processors, with Shader clock at 1650MHz for the normal version and 1750MHz for AMP! version.

Both versions also support DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0 and PCI-Express 2.0. We tested one of them, and we will post the review shortly.
