Nvidia was very secretive about the Geforce 8800 Ultra launch. The information slipped out in the end, but the samples were sent to partners only last week. As some of the American or Taiwanese branches got samples on Thursday or Friday, they couldn't get around to send them out on time to reviewers in Euroland.

Nvidia USA forgot that the 1st of May is a labour day in Euroland and that the currier's won't work on that particular day. Well, not all partners were affected as the top review sites got their samples last week, but some didn’t get cards sent on time. It really is a catch 22 situation, but what can you do.
