Air and water cooled models
After endless teasing and previews, EVGA has now offically introduced its newest GTX 500 series graphics card, the GTX 580 Classified. Available with air and water cooling, the new GTX 580 Classified is the cream of the crop when it comes to GTX 580.

The GTX 580 Classified is nothing like the reference card as it features a new, redesigned and oversized PCB with 14+3 phase design. The card still features 512 CUDA cores and comes clocked at 855MHz for the GPU, 1710MHz for shaders and features either 1.5GB or 3GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4212 and paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. Of course, this one is designed and made for overclockers and enthusiasts and certainly has some extra overclocking headroom.

The card needs two 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI-Express power connector, features NEC Proadlizer and Super Low ESR SP-Cap capacitors and all the other goodies that an overclocker should appreciate, including dual BIOS, voltage measure points and high frequency 3MHz shielded inductors.

As noted, the new GTX 580 Classified card is available with air and water cooling block. The air cooled one features a dual slot cooler with a large 8cm blower fan, while the water cooled one comes with a full cover 0.6mm thin-pin matrix waterblock and a custom backplate.

The cards are currently listed at EVGA store with a price set at US $599.99 for the 3GB and US $549.99 for the 1.5GB air cooled model, while the water cooled model is listed for US $679.99 for the 1.5GB one and US $729.99 for the 3GB one.
