Cebit 2010:
Here's the card, don't show it around

One
has to seriously wonder what exactly was Nvidia trying to pull off with its strict anti-marketing strategies on this year’s Cebit.

The company has given samples of cards to partners and then ordered them not to show them around or allow photos, and we hear that the outfit has even managed to get one employee sacked for his “disobedience” throughout the course of the show.

We just don’t get it – giving someone the latest thing everyone wants to know about only to order him/them not to show it is just plain silly. Besides, it’s just a piece of hardware which should launch in a couple of weeks, so where’s the crime in taking a photo?

We’d very much like to see Nvidia getting down to business and launch the card ASAP, as actual work on hardware might discourage them from painting a dictator-like face on the company. You know what they say, an idle mind is the devil’s playground. And on that note, here’s a pictorial advice we’ve scribbled while waiting on the airport. Yes, we know it isn't much of a dragon, but neither is Fermi.
