Zotac has officially launched its GTX 400 series AMP! graphics cards, and in addition to the expected factory overclock, Zotac has also decided to use a non-reference dual-fan cooler as well.

Both the GTX 470 AMP! and the GTX 480 AMP! will be using the same Zalman VF3000 dual-fan cooler. Back when it was announced the VF3000 had support for ATI HD 5000, 4000 and 3000 series cards as well as support for Nvidia's Geforce 9 and 200 series, but it looks like it is quite happy on the Geforce 400 series as well. It features a pure copper based and heatpipes paired up with pure aluminium fin heatsink cooled by two 92mm fans.

The Zotac GTX 480 AMP! works at 756MHz for the core and has 480 shaders clocked at 1512MHz. The 1536MB of GDDR5 memory is clocked at 3,800MHz and paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. Bear in mind that the reference GTX 480 is clocked at 700/1401/3696 so it looks like Zotac did a pretty good job with a factory overclock.

The GTX 470 AMP! is overclocked to 656MHz for the core and has 448 shaders clocked at 1312MHz. The 1280MB of GDDR5 memory on the GTX 470 AMP! is overclocked to 3402MHz and paired up with a 320-bit memory interface. Just for comparison, the reference GTX 470 is clocked at 607/1215/3348MHz for the core, shaders and memory.

Both cards should be available in retail pretty soon and are already listed with a price set at around €465 for the GTX 470 AMP! and around €630 for the GTX 480 AMP!.
