Ready for Over Voltage

MSI has announced its own version of the HD 5670, the card that was officially announced yesterday. It is interesting to note that MSI apparently decided to go with the 1GB version and didn't announce a 512MB version, at least not yet. The one thing that separates MSI from the rest of the competition is the Over Voltage capability which should provide a bit of extra juice and might increase the overclocking potential of the HD 5670.

The rest of the specifications are pretty much the same as on any other card on the market, so you are looking at a card that works at 775MHz for the core and features 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4040MHz. The card features an orb like cooler which should have enough cooling power for the HD 5670 GPU.

The Over Voltage is a nice add-on if you are into overclocking and thanks to MSI's Afterburner overclocking utility, this sounds as easy as it could be. The rest of the features include support for DirectX 11, ATI Eyefinity and CrossfireX, and the card features DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

The card is currently listed here and the lowest price starts at around €90.
