Including Dual video decode

Industry sources have whispered that Clarkdale, Intel's upcoming 32nm dual-core notebook CPU with a 45nm graphics core sitting next to it can play good HD.

When it comes to HD acceleration Core i3 and Core i5 – Clarkdale will be able to cope with Full AVC hardware decode, Full VC-1 HW decode, Full MPEG 2 hardware decode as well as Dual Video Decode.

For example G45 supports all of the above excluding dual video decode. Core i3 and Core i5 also offer two new post processing features, sharpness for both HD and SD streams and xvCC.

We expect to see these features in all Core i3 and Core i5 processors, both mobile and desktop, as Arrandale is the same chip as Clarkdale, but of course in different socket to fit in notebooks.
