Big chunk of copper

Koolance is working on a Radeon HD 5970 water block and guys from Ati-forum.de managed to score some nice pictures of it.

The VID-AR597 water block is made out of nickel-plated copper and has an acrylic lid. It comes with G 1/4 threads and should keep those 40nm cores nice and cool, at least much better than the reference cooler.

Once it becomes available, we are quite sure many overclocking enthusiasts will go for it, as in addition to the silent treatment, it should bring additional overclocking potential to the HD 5970.

The VID-AR597 water block should be available as of December 4th with a price tag of US $140.
