The smaller the better

Everyone should know that most GPUs by the end of this year will come in 40nm. We wanted to find out what is going to happen after that.

Depending on the company there are two options. As soon as next year, the new 32nm bulk process should be available, but it's more realistic that most GPU vendors will go for 28nm in late 2011 or early 2012. Globalfoundries should be ready for 32nm bulk, and especially 28nm process, but we are quite sure that TSMC has a similar schedule.

The transistors will get smaller, the TDPs will go down and of course, you will get more power for your games. Let's just hope that game studios and publishers can keep up.
