Probably later

The card that we call RV870, and that should replace RV790 and RV780, won't be launching in Q3. Many have expected that this card will launch either in late Q2 or early Q3, but we are hearing that this card might be pushed to later this year, but that it will instantly come with DirectX 11 support.

This might mean that the original RV870 got canceled, and that the new DirectX 11 card will take over, simply as Nvidia is probably going directly to DirectX 11 in Q4, with its GT300.

ATI has launched two new cards based on RV740 and RV790, and we don’t expect anything new before back to school, which promises a quite boring Q2 and Q3. Lets hope Q4 will have some serious surprises.
