No GTX 265 update

The soon-to-launch 55nm GTX 260 with 216 Shaders will stick with the Geforce GTX 260 brand. The reason is quite simple. Nvidia sits on a huge 65nm inventory and as soon as they would introduce a card with a new brand, they would kill the sales of old GTX 260 cards, and therefore manufacturers will be asked not to specially promote the new 55nm parts.

You can bet that 55nm GTX 260 will overclock better and the great news is that it will sell at the same price as the 65nm card. The 55nm GTX 260 comes with 216 Shaders and the same official 575MHz clock, but it definitely overclocks better than the old cards based on 65nm.

These cards will be sneaked to market in the next two weeks, but we are not sure how you would be able to tell if you got the 55nm card without taking the cooler off and inspecting the card.
