The fastest Crysis ever

ATI will
launch its highly anticipated Radeon 4870 X2 the card that we previously knew under the R700 codename.

The card consists of two RV770 chips clocked at 750MHz each and it has 800 stream processors per GPU and ends up with a total number or 1600 stream processors. The memory works at 900MHz but in GDDR5 mode and the card has two times 256-bit memory interface.

This card beats Geforce GTX 280 in most tests and it should be available today for around €400. Nvidia is also working on its updated version of GT 200 chip at 55nm, and this chip is to be expected in the next few weeks; but until that day comes, you can expect Radeon HD 4870 X2 to become a performance king.

ATI has waited a long time for it, but the time has finally come. Many reviews are coming today, stay tuned.
