Sony has confirmed that it has sold more than sold more than 30.2 million PlayStation 4  consoles

This is the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation history and a few tricks helped Sony to reach this incredible number. The console was $399 – a good $100 cheaper than $499 Xbox One definitely helped.

Sony has dropped the price of the console to close to €300 which boosted a lot of new sales. The console is available in 124 countries worldwide and probably a few more if you consider that people always find its way to get the latest hardware.

The PS4 system's games portfolio includes highly anticipated titles such as DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS (SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.), Ryu Ga GotokuKIWAMI (SEGA Games Co., Ltd.), Bloodborne The Old Hunters Edition, Gravity Rush Remastered, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (SCE Worldwide Studios). We might add that Star Wars Battlefront is a big deal that helped Sony to sell a few consoles too.

Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. said

“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago. We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”
