Bethesda officially announces DOOM at E3 show

by on15 June 2015

Coming in spring 2016 to PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4

As expected, Bethesda has announced a release date as well as showed the first official and public gameplay trailer for DOOM at its E3 2015 press conference in Los Angeles.

Developed by id Software, DOOM uses id Tech 6 engine, or as Bethesda likes to call it, id Tech 666 and will also include a Custom Map creator and Game Mode cretor called Snapmap, which should bring some rather interesting community made content once the game is released.

While some people had a chance to see the gameplay trailer behind closed doors at Quakecon last year, the E3 2015 gameplay trailer is the first official and public trailer released by Bethesda. Bethesda also showed a multiplayer gameplay trailer which is quite interesting as well and has launched a couple of rather impressive looking 4K/UHD screenshots which you can see below.

According to Bethesda, the new DOOM game will launch for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 in spring 2016. The new DOOM game will certainly be on our list and it appears that 2016 will be an interesting year for PC gaming.
