Amazon outs Nvidia Shield and Shield Pro

Product spec appears and disappears

Amazon accidently announced, and then removed Nvidia's new Shield console as well as an unheard of Shield Pro.

While this means that one or both will be in the shops soon it does tells us a bit more about the shield specs.

Powered by the Tegra X1 mobile chip is a high end telly box. It has 3 GB of RAM, support for 4K UHD video output, HDMI, USB 3.0, 802.11 ac 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 just to name a few.

Not bad, if it had more than 16 GB of storage, it might even be a contender. Android games nowadays take up at least 1 GB so that will soon be eaten up.
A microSD card slot could help alleviate the problem, it is more likely that Nvidia hopes that buyers will get their paws on the Shield Pro instead. It will have 500 GB storage.

The Shield will cost around $199. There was no Amazon price listing for the Pro. However that kit includes the device itself, a SHIELD Controller and a few cables, including HDMI which indicates it might be more for gaming.
