New Batman is Arkham Origins

by on29 March 2013

Already in development at Rocksteady

The next chapter in the Rocksteady-developed Batman franchise is already in development. The new title, which is going to be titled Batman Arkham Origins, will be a cross-generation Batman title that will feature both Superman as well as Green Lantern, according to what we are hearing.

Despite the rumors that the next Batman title was in development at Warner’s Montreal studio, Rocksteady is actually back at the helm for the next Batman release and there has been no change.

Arkham Origins will apparently be using the Unreal 3 engine, but it is next-generation; it will also appear on current generation systems. The list of platforms to get the title is still being determined, but we suspect that if it got Arkham City, it will likely get Arkham Origins as well.

Warner is apparently going to reveal the game in June at E3, which seems to be confirmed by a number of sources. Arkham Origins is likely to see release in the fall of this year.
