While players on the Xbox 360 have been enjoying the retro trip back to Tony Hawk land now only in HD, PlayStation 3 owners will have a chance to make the trip, as well. Developer Robomodo has confirmed via its Facebook page that the PlayStation 3 version of Tony Hawk HD will arrive on August 28th and our sources tell us that it will cost $15, just as the Xbox 360 version did.
Robomodo confirmed that the PC version is still in development and is coming, but the developer had no release date to announce at this time. Robomodo said, “Exact date to be shared as soon as we know it.” Tony Hawk HD was part of the Microsoft Summer of Arcade promotion and a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360 platform.
While the reviews of Tony Hawk HD have been a bit critical of the touchy controls, it has not seemed to matter, as sales for the title have been very good. The sales have been so good, in fact, that DLC content is likely coming, as well as a new Tony Hawk title likely to follow the old school ways of the current release; but nothing has been announced yet.
