Developer Splash Damage is claiming that the best is yet to come, and they are predicting that 2012 will be the biggest year for them yet. CEO Paul Wedgewood said, “…amazing new talent has been hired to strengthen our team in key areas.”

Rumors of a new project at Splash Damage that revolves around one of the biggest pop culture brands in the last 50 years is all that we have heard. Wedgewood claims that the announcements will be coming in the weeks and months ahead, so we need keep a look out.

Despite the lackluster response to Brink, it does not seem that it has slowed Splash Damage down. The developer, who is best known for Enemy Territory and Quake Wars, could be up to something special; but the real question is what might that be? It is really anyone’s guess at this point.
