Female character creation in NHL 12

Female hockey players can rejoice
One complaint that we seem to be hearing a lot more of as of late is why the character creation mode in X game does not support the creation of female characters.

Well, times are a changing as more titles are supporting it, and word reaches us that the just released NHL 12 will add this feature, thanks to the request of a 14-year-old girl from Buffalo who also happens to be a hockey player and a fan. With additional emphasis around the world of women’s hockey at all levels, especially in North America, it was only a matter of time before someone asked why women and girl hockey players were being snubbed.

This will happen no more, as EA sports has added the ability to create female characters. As a reward to the 14-year-old named Lexi for bringing this to EA’s attention, EA made her likeness in the game as the default character in the game. Just shows you that not every comment you make about a game falls of deaf ears.
