Call of Duty: Black Ops sales hit $1bn mark

by on22 December 2010

So much for Hollywood blockbusters
According to sales figures released by Activision Blizzard the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise has already netted more than $1 billion in revenue.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has managed to surpass the $1 billion mark in just six weeks of sales, a feat unparalleled in the video game industry and rarely witnessed in Hollywood. In fact, no game has ever come close to such sales results and very few blockbuster movies can boast such numbers, and most of them were pants.

However, this is hardly surprising considering the fact that any decent game features a better script and more realistic dialogues than a Michael Bay movie. We can only imagine what would happen if a scantily clad Megan Fox appeared in the next CoD game.
