So much to choose from this week in Xbox land

There is a lot going on in the land of the Xbox 360 this week, and no, we are not talking about the end of the Blue multiplayer beta; but that did just end. For those with the Xbox 360, this week holds new Xbox Live Arcade releases, a great deal for Gold members, and demo download for an eagerly awaited game.

First up, we have the release of Rocket Knight and Things on Wheels. Rocket Knight, a Konami favorite on the Sega Genesis, and the new version look to crank up the platform again. Rocket Knight will cost you 1,200 points when it drops on May 12th.

The other release for Xbox Live Arcade this week is Things on Wheels from developer Load Inc. This game is one that we have been waiting two years to finally see the light of day. While the game was to be published by SouthPeak Games, it is instead now being published by Focus Home Entertainment. The game is a RC-type of car racer with multiple tracks, cars and modes. It reminds me in many ways of a very cool and updated version of Revolt that I was recently playing on my Dreamcast. It will only cost you 800 Microsoft Points.

Next, we have the deal of the week for Xbox Live Gold Members. If you passed on “The Ballad of Gay Tony” which was the incredible add-on content for Grand Theft Auto IV, now is your chance to pick it up for only 1,200 Microsoft Points rather than the 1600 Microsoft Points that this one normally costs. While this one is quite different from the Lost and Damned add-on that was also released, it is quite good and well worth the sale price of 1,200 Microsoft Points; and it will delivers quite a few hours of enjoyment.

Finally, in case you don’t already know about it, The UFC Undisputed 2010 demo which has been so eagerly awaited by many has already made its way on to Xbox Live for download. The demo does not disappoint and it definitely worth checking out if you are on the fence about whether or not you are going to purchase this title. The demo does make a good case as to why you should pick this one up. The new version has really cranked everything up, so it is hard to pinpoint exactly what we liked the best, but the more authentic look and play of the game really won us over.
