Looks like the games will flow again

The temporary hold on the release of new titles for the Microsoft Game Room on the Xbox 360 is apparently going to come to an end.  Starting today, a new batch of games will be released for the Game Room.

The next batch of releases will feature the first Activision titles for the 2600 to make their way into the Game Room. Titles to arrive today are said to include Super Breakout, Pitfall, Megamania, Night Stalker, RealSports Volleyball, Basketball and Rack ‘em Up.

It is unknown if this release is a signal that we are back on track for regular additions again or not. According to the talk we have been hearing, some of the delay has been due to some changes going on with developer Krome, who is Microsoft’s partner in the Game Rome development. Recent layoffs are said to have been a distraction for the developer during their period of reorganization; but according to our sources, this slowed things down, but should not have affected the schedule.

In addition to the Game Room releases, we also are hearing that Xbox Live Arcade will get the release of Zeno Clash Ultimate Edition and RayStorm HD, each of which will cost 1,200 points today, as well. You can also look forward to RocketKnight for 1,200 points on May 12th and the long-awaited Snoopy Flying Ace for 800 points to hit the skies on June 2nd. From the whispers that we heard today, that will be the last of the Xbox Live Arcade announcements till E3, when it is rumored the company will announce their 3rd annual Summer of Arcade promotion along with the titles that will be part of it this year.
